Union Bridge Lions Club

The Wilmer Eye Bank, the Low Vision Research Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Blind and Camp Merrick are just a few of the entities you may be familiar with that exist because of the work of Lions Clubs. Each year millions of pairs of glasses are recycled and shipped from three major U.S. Lions processing centers to needy individuals throughout the world.

Services in our community

If you or someone you know is having trouble purchasing glasses or eye care services, we can help! We work with a local optometrist and Human Services Programs to make sure you can afford what you need for your vision.

We also have free home medical equipment available for loan, such as hospital beds, wheelchairs and walkers.

You can help too! Donate your used eyeglasses for recycling by using our drop box at the Union Bridge Pharmacy or by calling 410-775-7054.

For more information about this service:

Call 410-775-7054 or e-mail us.

Each year, the Union Bridge Lions Club grants a scholarship of $1000 to a graduating FSK High School Senior pursuing post-secondary education.

In conjunction with the Carroll County Public Schools, the Union Bridge Lions Club encourages young artists by awarding ribbons to exceptional artworks by elementary school students. These artworks will continue to the Northwest School Regional Art Fair.

WE SERVE

The Union Bridge Lions also help the Union Bridge Fire Company by selling tickets at the Fireman’s Carnival. We host a community Halloween Party and Costume Contest, and we financially support a broad spectrum of other worthy nonprofits and related efforts.

The Union Bridge Lions Club supports the American Red Cross with two blood drives per year at the Union Bridge Community Center. Check the calendar for the next drive!
