Here’s what the Union Bridge Lions have been up to lately! Check back regularly for news and updates.

July 8, 2008– We all enjoyed a joint picnic with the Libertytown-Unionville club. There was a bit of an odd array at the buffet tables, but the food held out and the desserts were plentiful! Entertainment, courtesy of a jazz band from Carroll       Lutheran Village, was excellent and dancing did happen. Also included was a program on the license plate program for the District. To boil things down, get an application from Lion Roger Sauter and return completed application (with check) to Roger and he will get it processed with the state. One fee serves a lifetime of use.

 

July 22, 2008– John Witiak coordinated a program on smoking cessation. Not sure there were too many smokers in the crowd (Toni Eckenrode was absent), but some good information was shared on ways to help smokers you know break the habit. At least we now know how the Tobacco Fund dollars are being spent.

 

 

All our best to Lion Ruth Leppo, who has been under the weather recently. She is now out of the hospital and staying with Sammy II.
